Six months after Coronavirus Disease 19 (COVID-19) spread to the Philippines, many important activities were stopped due to this pandemic and no celebrations or gatherings could take place so even worship was affected by the protocol issued by our government.
Churches have recently reopened to parishioners but only a limited number of people can enter but most people know that worship is a Filipino family tradition so our government cannot stop people who are eager to go to church every week. Worship is also a right and one of the essential activities but why does our government not focus on it, they still consider it a hindrance to society and focus more on opening large malls because it is said to be a source of work for Filipinos.
Amid the government’s disregard for the church as an essential activity, many church members continue to be reminded that the COVID-19 era is a time of change, according to the priests, we need to prioritize prayer because it is most important of all that is happening around the world today.
They also added that the whole world must continue the faith because it is part of the way to eradicate the pandemic that is prevalent in the world. Worship should not be lost and should be given more importance and priority.
The pandemic that ends the lives of many people is frightening because its percentage is so large but this problem is God is the only solution, continue to be aware of the possibilities and goodness around.
