Mang Rogelio is one of the” Barangay Tanod” at Barangay Gumaok East in San Jose Del Monte Bulacan, today is “Labor Day” and those workers like him should rest but he choose to help a community pantry on controling the people lining up today.
“Tatlong taon na rin, Ay bali anim na kasi naging hepe pa pala ako” Mang Rogelio said, He also used to be the chief of “tanod’ in their barangay but he leave that position since the pandemic started that is why his allowance reduced also.”tanods” like him also have small income or allowance even if you have been working in he Barangay for a long time and that is why they are finding for other source of income for a day “Yung mga gulay na ganyan misan pagkauwi ko nagbebenta ako” He added.
The allowance of Mang Rogelio in being a Barangay Tanod is ranging 1,450 up to 1700 pesos a month but he said that he doesn’t have to duty all day in barangay and so he can still find other sources of income for his family.
