Marites Calaoagan, a fruit vendor at San Jose Del Monte, Bulacan fights her fear frlm COVID-19 to earn small amount of money by selling “Buko juice” and other fruits in Tungkong Mangga.
She sell fruits for 27 years and through that, 2 out of her 4 children graduated in college. But, this pandemic became very challenging for them since they only earn half of the earnings they used to have when there was no COVID-19.
Marites also pay 200 pesos for the rent of their stall in the sidewalk at Tungkong Mangga that is why sometimes they have to owe money to buy fruits for their stall.
